Cherry blossoms in Kiyoharu Art Village
Kiyoharu Art Village is located on the site of Kiyoharu Elementary School, which was closed.
In March 1925, the school was planted in the schoolyard by children to commemorate the completion of the school building.
It is a famous cherry blossom spot where about 30 Yoshino cherry trees still remain. The stately row of cherry blossom trees over 80 years old is stunning.
The harmony of the sixteen-angle building "La Lüche" (French means "beehives") located in the center of the art village, the stunning cherry blossoms of branching, and Kaikomagatake approaching in front of you are beautiful like a picture, and many people come to sketch. This group of cherry blossoms was designated as a designated natural monument in Yamanashi Prefecture in May 1966 (1966).
