Cherry blossoms in Kiyoharu Art Village

Cherry blossoms in Kiyoharu Art Village

Kiyoharu Art Village is located on the site of Kiyoharu Elementary School, which was closed down.
In March 1925, the school was planted in the schoolyard by children to commemorate the completion of the school building.
It is a famous cherry blossom spot where about 30 Yoshino cherry trees still remain. A row of cherry blossom trees that are over 80 years old is wonderful.
The harmony between the sixteen-square-shaped building "La Rush" (meaning "beehive" in Buddhist language) located in the center of the art village, the cherry blossoms with stunning branches, and the Kaikomagatake approaching in front of you are a wide picture. It is beautiful and many people come to the sketch. This group of cherry blossoms was designated as a designated natural monument in Yamanashi Prefecture in May 1966 (1966).
