The new area opened on June 7, 2025.
Located on the third floor of the hotel, the "Mori no Lounge" is a space where you can feel the warmth of Japanese with tatami mats so that you can take off your shoes and relax. Beyond the window, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Fuji.
Walking Path in the Forest
There is a vast forest around Grand Mercure Yatsugatake Resort & Spa. Among them, there is a walking path where you can enjoy nature.
The walking path is surrounded by deciduous forests, and shows various expressions every season. In addition, there are many wild birds and squirrels, so you can meet such creatures while walking around. Why don't you take a walk with parents and children in the forest where you can feel the clear air of the plateau forest?
In summer, you can collect insects such as Onyamma and beetles, and in autumn you can pick up acorns.

Starry sky guide Tomofumi Yamada and star in full sky
In Grand Mercure Yatsugatake Resort & Spa, there is a hotel staff member who is qualified as "Starry Sky Guide".
The rooftop observation deck is reserved, and Mr. Yamada will show you a special starry sky viewing. It is a location where you can fully enjoy the size of the sky without obstructing anything 360 °, and the starry sky looks up while lying on the deck chair is exceptional. You can decide on one of the stars you are interested in, and you can enjoy watching the stars carefully with a telescope while declaring Mr. Yamada's commentary alone. While surrounded by the stars of Yatsugatake, which has been selected as one of Japan's three major starry sky spots, you can spend a special time with your loved ones along with seasonal hot drinks.
